Orange Street Walking Club

For those who may not know, my mom passed away nearly four years ago from a rare cancer, ocular melanoma. After her first round of treatment and remission, she organized walks and exercise classes to raise money for rare cancer research. Supporting others and staying active were incredibly important to her. To honor that spirit, my siblings and I—mainly my brother James' idea —have adapted her initiative into a walking club for those who’ve lost a loved one.

Our Purpose: To brighten people’s days and create a space where everyone feels understood.

What We Do: We meet on the 2nd and 4th Sundays at 10am of every month in NW DC, outside the International Baccalaureate Headquarters (3950 Wisconsin Ave). It’s a casual, one-hour walk—no commitment necessary—designed to encourage getting outside, connecting, and sharing space with people who understand grief without needing to explain.

If you're interested in joining our next walk on the 27th, check out the link below, and feel free to share with anyone who might be interested.
